The focus of our clinic is to keep young players active and in peak condition to start their spring baseball season. Through a structured program consisting of a mix of running, conditioning exercises, stretching and a variety of athletic games, kids will enhance their baseball performance and learn the importance of cross-training while having loads of fun.
The clinic will begin with a short warmup run followed by stretching. The stretching will centered around injury prevention. The next portion will include a longer run around the field and conditioning exercises. Our time will end with a fun athletic game such as capture the flag, kickball or another exciting activity. Over the course of the weeks, the coaches will monitor the progress of repeat athletes and help them achieve their goals. During some sessions prizes will be awarded!
I believe in the importance of keeping active and cross-training during the off-season. Running and conditioning keeps the body and mind healthy and ready for any sport. Exercise improves concentration, instills good life-long habits, and reaps emotional benefits. While rest is important, many players take too much time off in between seasons. Participation in this clinic can help gain an edge for the upcoming season.
